Rosemarie Tichler grew up in Brooklyn and worked as a Casting Director and Artistic Producer for over three decades. Tichler became interested in working in theatre while attending Barnard College and the University of California, Berkeley. Following graduation, she got a job at Theater Communications Group (TCG) answering phones and, after seven years, became the Associate Director. Following TCG, she joined NYSF/The Public as Head of Casting where she worked for the next 16 years, and Artistic Producer for the next 10 years. Tichler became known for discovering the actors that would come to define American theatre and Off-Broadway.
